Stand with us to say Every Refugee Matters

Refugees and asylum seekers are people like you and me who have been forced to leave their home behind, take dangerous journeys, and put their life on the line as an absolute last resort.

The government is overhauling the asylum system.  As they do, we urge them to stand by the important principles below that must guide how we treat people who are seeking refuge in the UK.

We believe that every refugee matters. Refugees have experienced the worst challenges in life – but together, we can show the very best of humankind. We want to see a more compassionate and effective way to support refugees.

  • We’re calling on you to add your name and stand with us to say:

    • I believe every refugee matters.
    • I believe every refugee should be able to find safety.
    • I believe every refugee should have a home.
    • I believe every refugee should have the support they need.
    • I believe every refugee should be able to have their loved ones with them.
    • I believe every refugee should be able to rebuild their life and contribute to society.

  • Your privacy

The British Red Cross is committed to privacy and will use personal data for the purpose it was collected or other legitimate purposes we tell you about: for example, to provide goods, services or information you have requested or to administer donations or services we provide.
